Achieving Optimal Peri-Implant Health: A Practical Approach
Similar to natural teeth, dental implants require ongoing protection against microbial threats. Maintaining a delicate balance between environmental factors and patient well-being is crucial for oral health stability. Any disruptions to this equilibrium can lead to the onset of disease.
This program aims to provide practical insights and knowledge to enhance peri-implant health management. By focusing on evidence-based strategies, particpants will gain valuable skills to optimise patient outcomes and ensure the long-term success of dental implants.
Particpants will apply key concepts in practical exercises using pig jaws and simulation models. These activities include using xenogenic materials to reconstruct peri-implant defects and practising soft tissue manipulation techniques such as flap design, tension-free primary closure, and suturing methods.
