Dr. Lam Cheng graduated with First Class Honours in a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland. She began her dental career in both public and private practices across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Her interest in research led her to complete a Bachelor of Dental Studies at the same university, where she focused on caries susceptibility in patients with cleft lip and palate undergoing orthodontic treatment—an experience that sparked her passion for orthodontics. This passion guided her toward specialist training at the University of Sydney, where she earned a Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) with Honours. Dr. Cheng is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthodontics).
